Sunstar Insurance Group named Adam Meyerowitz, former EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants chief operating officer, as CEO, effective May 4, 2026.
He succeeds Casey Bowlin, who founded Sunstar in 2013 and will transition to the role of chairman, the broker said in a statement late Wednesday.
Mr. Meyerowitz co-founded Prime Risk Partners in 2014 and most recently served as COO for EPIC following its 2019 acquisition of Prime Risk.
Sunstar Insurance Group is the 45th-largest broker of U.S. business, according to the most recent Business Insurance rankings.
The broker has 58 agencies in nine states with more than 930 employees. It is a portfolio company of Reverence Capital Partners, which acquired a majority stake in the firm in 2024.
