Sterling & Sterling, which does business as SterlingRisk, has promoted Marci Waterman to deputy chief executive officer and John S. Beres to chief operating officer, the company announced Tuesday.
Ms. Waterman will continue to serve as president of Sterling Analytics, a legal bill review and consulting services company owned by SterlingRisk. Previously, she was chief operating officer at SterlingRisk, which she joined in 2013.
As chief operating officer, Mr. Beres will assume responsibility for the Woodbury, New York-based broker’s day-to-day operations. He joined SterlingRisk in 2017 and most recently served as chief business officer and director of client services and development.
SterlingRisk is the 57th largest broker of U.S. business, according to the most recent Business Insurance ranking.
