Indeed, for all initiation of treatment, presentation of a certificate to the pharmacist is mandatory in addition to the doctor’s prescription. This is an essential condition for receiving the medicine. The certificate replaces the previous information document put in place in 2019.

“Patients whose treatment is renewed will have to present this co-signed certificate from June 16, 2026, so that they have time to see their doctor again,” adds the Health Agency.

THE patients who are already taking this medicine have additional time : ils have until June 16, 2026 to see their doctor again and obtain this certificate allowing them to renew their treatment.

This annual certificate of shared information ensures that the patient is informed of the possible existence of psychiatric disorders, sexual function disorders, the possible persistence of certain effects after stopping treatment, and the action to take in the event of these effects occurring.

“It ensures that the doctor and the patient have discussed together the risks linked to the treatment and the precautions to take,” explains the ANSM.
