Tokio Marine HCC – Specialty Group, a unit of Tokio Marine HCC, said Wednesday it partnered with Adaptive Insurance to distribute its Restaurant Recovery coverage digitally.
Restaurant owners and brokers can quote and bind policies online through Adaptive’s AI-driven platform, with limits of $500,000 or $1 million available.
Restaurant Recovery covers financial and reputational losses tied to food contamination, adverse publicity and product extortion incidents.
The coverage is aimed at restaurant operators ranging from single-location businesses to national franchises, the companies said in a statement.
Business expenses and financial losses arising from accidental or supplier contamination, malicious tampering and reputational crises are also covered.
Policyholders receive access to crisis response services from The Acheson Group, a food safety and public health consultancy that coordinates with Tokio Marine HCC’s claims team following an incident.
