Markel said Thursday that it has promoted Raphael Da Costa to lead its U.S. cyber and tech errors and omissions portfolio.
He will lead the business’s underwriting strategy, portfolio management and product development, Markel said in a statement.
New York-based Mr. Da Costa joined Markel from Everest in 2023 and most recently led its U.S. cyber and technology errors and omissions insurance products for middle market risks.
He reports to Paul Melone, executive underwriting officer, professional liability, according to an email from a spokeswoman.
He succeeds Lou Botticelli, according to the email. Mr. Botticelli joined Howden in January.
