AF Specialty, a division of AF Group, will provide underwriting capacity to Applied Surety Underwriters to support the expansion of surety programs in the U.S., the companies announced Thursday.
Applied Surety will access capacity backed by AF Group’s A (Excellent) financial strength rating from A.M. Best and its U.S. Treasury listing, the companies said in a joint statement.
The program will support commercial and contract surety programs for middle-market construction accounts and large commercial surety clients, including public and private companies, municipalities and nonprofits.
Coverage will target heavy industry, energy and infrastructure sectors, the companies said.
