MSIG hires former WTW exec as head of surety

MSIG USA on Friday named former Willis Towers Watson executive Pat Dougherty as head of surety.

He will be responsible for leading the strategy and growth for the surety business in this newly created position, MSIG said in a statement.

Mr. Dougherty will report to Dan Riordan, head of political risk and trade credit for MSIG USA.

Most recently, Mr. Dougherty served as senior director of surety at Willis Towers Watson.

Prior to Willis Towers Watson, he was head of commercial bond at Axa XL. He also worked at Nationwide Mutual Surety and Liberty Mutual Surety.
